Thank You Asheville! for the opportunity to serve you these last 6 years
Mike, Tom & Edna
Dear Ednas’ Community,
That really is what Ednas was all about…community! Creating a welcoming community for all people groups no matter their race, gender, orientation, creed, or religion. All were welcome at Ednas!
As some of you may know, the restaurant business is a very difficult enterprise, and we have literally given ALL we have to keep Ednas open for the last six years.
Today it’s time to start a new chapter and sadly that means we are closing Ednas of Asheville.
Emotionally this is very difficult for us but we will remember all the beautiful good works and support Ednas brought to the community:
Supporting Brother Wolf Animal Rescue Supporting Blue Ridge Pride Being a Clean Energy Partner The creation of Ednas Doggie Hospice (which will continue) Supporting the Jewish Community Supporting the LGBTQ Community Being a Safe Zone for LGBTQ people UNCA Jesus People Arts & Worship Center Supporting local schools Loving Food Resources AIDS Food Bank Fundraisers People Being Jesus Food Bank Joy Center Asheville LGBT Young Adults Shelter Fundraiser Victims of Sexual Abuse Fundraiser Montfort Park Players Theater Group Little Pearls Dog Rescue Asheville ASPCA Western North Carolina AIDS Project Beer City Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
We have informed our staff, and yes they will receive their final pay and tips. Also, we have offered to write them letters of recommendations.
All food and paper supplies have been donated to PB&J Food Bank to provide for the homeless.
You can contact us through our Facebook page regarding gift card balances. We don’t show much outstanding in open gift card balances.
Yes we did try to sell but the landlord was not willing to negotiate with our buyer on the lease option.
We will never be able to adequately thank you, our customers and staff for allowing us to serve this wonderful community of Asheville. We hope Ednas touched your life in a positive way.
Mike, Tom, and Edna
